Partnership for Romania’s Energy Security.
Bucharest, July 17, 2025 – ENEVO Group and the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity of energy sector infrastructure. The agreement focuses primarily on testing technologies and platforms for monitoring and alerting on cyber incidents and attacks, as well as collaborating to ensure visibility of incidents affecting energy sector infrastructure, facilitating a coordinated national response.
Partnership for Enhancing National Resilience.
The agreement between DNSC and ENEVO Group aims to:
- Share information and threat intelligence for proactive attack detection
- Organize events, workshops, and training sessions in Operational Technology (OT) security
- Develop and disseminate analytical materials and briefings based on relevant statistical data
- Provide active support for developing public policies at national and European levels in industrial cybersecurity
Safeguarding cybersecurity in critical sectors fundamentally relies on close cooperation and concerted efforts from both public and private actors, fostering innovation, developing dedicated platforms, sharing expertise, and actively exchanging information on cyber threats.
DNSC supports the launch of platforms that facilitate information sharing, analysis, and alerts regarding potential cybersecurity incidents in essential and critical sectors.
“The Romanian energy sector is among the most sophisticated and advanced in terms of operational systems and infrastructure. It is no surprise that the number and intensity of cyberattacks targeting this sector have grown in complexity, particularly since the onset of the war in Ukraine. In this context, we need solutions, partners, and professionals focused on enhancing the cybersecurity and resilience of critical energy infrastructure,” said Dan Cîmpean, Director of DNSC.
SentryOT, developed within the ENEVO Group by a Romanian team with unique expertise at the intersection of OT cybersecurity and energy engineering, ensures a deep understanding of risks specific to critical infrastructure. This dual specialization enables tailored solutions that effectively protect essential industrial processes.
“We are happy to announce this strategic partnership with DNSC, one of the initiatives that can strengthen the cyber resilience of Romania’s critical energy infrastructure. This agreement reflects a shared public-private vision based on proactivity, collaboration, and efficient knowledge and expertise exchange. In a sector still in its early stages, our joint efforts aim for transparent and effective management of cybersecurity challenges in the industrial and energy domains,” said Cristian Pârvulescu, CEO of ENEVO Group.
