Automatic Transfer Scheme for the DC load at HVDC Melo Substation, Uruguay

About This Project

ENEVO Group automated the transfer logic for the DC load of the HVDC substation that connects Uruguay’s grid to Brazil’s and is operated by Usinas y Transmisiones Electricas, the Uruguay TSO. Using Omron SCADA and control platforms, a new automation transfer logic for the DC load was designed and implemented for the HVDC back-to-back substation between Brazil (60Hz) and Uruguay (50 HZ). A remote monitoring system for the PLCs was also mounted on the DC system.
