01 Jun ENEVO Group at Energy Strategy Summit
On 31st of May, at Snagov Palace, near Bucharest, took place Energy Strategy Summit, a high-level conference gathering the most important decision-makers and policy-makers in the Romanian Energy Sector. Keynote speaker at the conference was Richard L. Morningstar, Founding Member of the Global Energy Center, Atlantic Council, along with Romanian Energy Minister, Victor Grigorescu, Cristian Busu, State Secretary of the Romanian Energy Minister and many executive-level directors from Romanian energy companies.
ENEVO Group acted as one of the main partners of the conference. As energy efficiency, automation and remote control are having an increasing role in today’s and tomorrow’s energy landscape, ENEVO supports the legislative and private efforts of drafting a strategy that promotes the availability, reliability and sustainability of the energy sector in Romania, with regard to its neighbours.
Energy Strategy Summit was a one-day event, with plenary sessions and round table discussions. Debates covered a wide range of topics, from the role of the energy system in Romania in the current turbulent regional context, to the future of venerable local industries of oil and gas; to the possible solutions for reviving the coal sector; the elements involved in the future development of the utilities sector and accelerated maturation of production from renewable resources. The talks were split in 3 panels: Romania’s National interest and regional roles, National Energy Strategy and Energy Sustainability.
